About Deckmoon

Deckmoon is a free tarot site for people who like to pull a card, think for a moment and get on with their day.

What we make

Tarot readings with the full 78-card deck, from a single card of the day to the ten-card Celtic Cross, and a few small tools for everyday decisions: a tarot decision maker, a decision wheel and a coin flip.

How the readings work

Every reading starts with a fair shuffle of the whole deck using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator. You choose your own cards from a face-down spread. Each card is then interpreted by its position in the spread and by the topic you chose. The interpretations were written for Deckmoon, card by card, drawing on the long tradition of tarot reading.

We see tarot as a tool for reflection, a way to look at a situation from a new angle, not as a guaranteed prediction. Readings are for insight and entertainment and are not medical, legal or financial advice.

The cards

The card images are scans of the original 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith deck, drawn by the artist Pamela Colman Smith (1878–1951). Her artwork is in the public domain. The scans were restored by Steve P. (steve-p.org).

Your privacy

You do not need an account to use Deckmoon, and the questions you type into a reading stay in your browser. Our privacy policy explains exactly what we measure.
