Random picker

Paste a list. Draw one item, then the next, then the next, or get the whole order in one go.

One item per line, up to 50.

Pick one, or a whole order

Pick one draws a single item at random. Press it again and the next item comes from what is left, so the same item never comes up twice. Keep going and you build a fair order, one draw at a time: who goes first, who presents next, which chore comes after which.

Pick the whole order shuffles everything that is left in one go. Handy for turn orders, seating, or a reading list for the month.

Fair by design

Each draw uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, and every remaining item has exactly the same chance. Your list never leaves your device. Want the cards to weigh in instead of pure chance? Try the tarot decision maker.

Questions and answers

How many items can I add?
Up to 50, one per line.
Can the same item be picked twice?
No. Every pick comes from the items that are left, so each item is drawn once. Press “Start over” to put them all back.
Can I use it to pick a raffle winner?
Yes, for informal draws among friends, a class or a team. For official prize draws, follow the rules that apply where you live.
Is my list saved?
No. It stays in your browser and disappears when you leave the page.
